Canadian artisan Ian Finch-Field was born into a world of creativity. What began in childhood as a passion for making comic books and piggy banks eventually evolved into a mastery of woodworking, metalworking, and ultimately, leather. In 2008, Ian founded SkinzNhydez Leather Apparel, pioneering a signature style that seamlessly fuses premium leather, brass, and found objects into wearable art. His distinctive, high-end take on the Steampunk genre quickly caught the world’s attention.Ian’s work has graced the screen in the short film Dr. Glamour, been published in the book 1000 Steampunk Creations, and won "Best in Category" at the Victoria, BC Wearable Art Fashion Show. His reputation for jaw-dropping craftsmanship was cemented globally when Justin Bieber sported a custom SkinzNhydez Steampunk gauntlet in the "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" music video. Since then, Ian’s creations have been featured by the WWE, major television series, operas, and films.Now operating as Mr.Hydez Leather Studio, Ian continues to push the boundaries of his craft as a dedicated solo artisan.
